IRC, Intel Foundation Launch Job-Training Effort for Refugees

The International Rescue Committee has announced a $1 million investment from the Intel Foundation to provide a thousand refugees in Germany with job skills training and employment services.

IRC will use the funds to launch Project CORE: Creating Opportunities for Refugee Employment, a program designed to equip refugees in Germany, where more than 1.5 million people have sought asylum since 2015, with critical skills in information and communications technology (ICT) and other in-demand occupations.
