UoPeople (www.uopeople.edu) is a non-profit, tuition-free, online, accredited university dedicated to opening access to higher education globally. University of the People does not charge students to take classes, does not charge for any reading and other study materials, and does not charge for annual enrollment. In order to remain sustainable, UoPeople charges small processing fees for application and examination processing. However, in light of the crisis in Syria, we have allocated scholarships for 500 Syrian refugees, granting an amazing opportunity to motivated students who are interested in earning an accredited academic degree. Students are welcome to apply for this scholarship after they have completed their student application and been admitted to the University. UoPeople is a tuition-free university. Stipends of up to $4,000 may be available, depending on need. Fields of study include business administration and computer science. Awards are available for up to 4 years, and application deadlines take place on a rolling basis. Applicants that may not be able to provide high school documentation may still be considered for admission. If this is applicable to you, please review the UoPeople Refugee and Asylum Seekers Admissions Policy. Students should follow the admissions instructions listed on our webpage. Please visit University of the People website, or contact Lana Whiteford (admissions@uopeople.edu) for more information.

University of the People is a member of IIE's Consortium for Higher Education in Crisis. Along with numerous other higher education institutions around the world, University of the People has committed support for Syrian students and scholars, primarily in the form of full and partial scholarships.
