Scholarship at DAAD
The Baden-Württemberg Foundation offers the The Baden-Württemberg scholarship for higher education. This scholarship is provided to highly qualified undergraduates, graduates and doctoral candidates either at institutions of higher education in the Land of Baden-Wuerttemberg or at their international partner institutions. Every year 1,200 young people from all over the world are given the opportunity to study abroad. Scholarships are equally distributed between applicants from the Land of Baden-Wuerttemberg and candidates from abroad. The funding period ranges between three and 11 months. Entire degree courses (Bachelor's or Master's) or PhD programmes are, however, not eligible for funding. The sponsorship amount is calculated individually and varies, depending also on the term (semester) and the scholar's academic progress. The minimum scholarship is of EUR 500, the maximum of EUR 1,500. Upon their return scholars receive non-material assistance and are part of a broad international network connecting people from differing disciplines and cultures. Application deadlines are set by the single institutions of higher education; they are usually March 31st of each year.
